Join us we come together for a spectacular finale to celebrate our year as London Borough of Culture 2022.

This winter, fantastic festive events for all ages will bring light to Beckenham Place Park at the darkest point of the year.

Visit to explore free, magical illuminations, 20-22 December and discover the hidden beauty of the park at night.  Make an evening of it with a programme of music, DJs, winter crafts and festive food and drink at the Homestead, plus a cosy bar at Beckenham Place Park Mansion. A family fun fair will run 15 December – 7 January.

Join The Revel Puck Circus for a joyous, alternative festive experience in the heated big top. Performances of their five star show, The Wing Scuffle Spectacular will run 15 December – 8 January with acrobatics, break dance, incredible feats and contemporary performance.

Illuminations at LIT!

DUNDU - The Giant of Puppets, will greet visitors and lead a magical illumination parade, Sharing the Light, through Beckenham Place Park. The parade will include locals, community groups, a samba band and choir, who will captivate audiences and bring a glow to this unique green space.

The Revel Puck Circus

One for the entire family, The Revel Puck Circus’ The Wing Scuffle Spectacular will run from Thursday 15 December to Saturday 8 January. Presenting the brightest young talent of the London circus scene, performances will offer a fresh perspective on the popular artform with acrobatics, parkour, break dance, incredible feats and contemporary performance.

Take part in LIT!

We're looking for Lewisham residents who would like to be involved in our spectacular finale event on 21 December 2022.

Lewisham’s year as London Borough of Culture has been about coming together to celebrate our history, people and place. If you live or work in the borough, you can be part of our finale event as a Light Bearer, Volunteer Event Steward or as a member of a special choir – The LIT! Chorus.

The Mansion and The Homestead Cafe

The Georgian Mansion is open daily to the public and is home to artist studios, a well-being centre, arts and crafts classes, and a bar/café. The Mansion Bar & Cafe will be open for a take-away service during LIT!

The Homestead Cafe is a beautiful Georgian stable with a Cafe, a Courtyard and stunning views of the gardens. Warm up with festive mulled wine at the bar, grab some pizza and enjoy DJs in the Courtyard.
