How can you get involved?

Keep an eye on this page, all current call outs will be published here. To ensure that Lewisham’s year as London Borough of Culture is inclusive and captures a wide-range of voices, different criteria is being considered across our call outs – such as particular specialisms, roots in Lewisham and types of lived experience.

Call Out: Food, bar, and craft traders at People's Day

Why trade at People's Day?

Attracting 25,000 visitors each year, Peoples Day is the longest-running free community festival in South East London. The event presents a varied professional arts programme together with a first-class showcase of diverse local talent.

People’s Day also includes street performers, international food stalls, bars, a craft market of over 50 stalls, over 30 Council and local organisation displays, a sports, health and fitness area, family activities, fun fair rides and a range of displays and activities from the Borough’s community organisations.

Closing dates for applications:
Food, ice cream, and bar applications close at 11.59pm on Friday 6 May 2022.
Craft market applications close at 12 noon on Friday 3 June 2022.

Call Out: Exhibit your business, charity, statutory organisation, CIC or social enterprise at People's Day

Find out about exhibiting your business, charity, statutory organisation, community interest company (CIC) or social enterprise at People's Day on Saturday 16 July 2022.

People's Day is the longest-running free community festival in south east London, presenting a varied professional arts programme together with a first-class showcase of diverse local talent.

People’s Day also includes street performers, international food stalls, bars, a craft market of over 50 stalls, over 30 Council and local organisation displays, a sports, health and fitness area, family activities, fun fair rides and a wide range of displays and activities from the borough’s community organisations and attracts 25,000 visitors every year.

Closing dates for applications: 11.59pm on Friday 3 June 2022.

We will be commissioning training and skills building opportunities for Lewisham’s London Borough of Culture 2022 year.

We are looking for a range of providers that focus on industry specific training across the creative and cultural industries.
