Young people supported
with career and development opportunities.
Our Creative Futures programme gave local young people real opportunities to explore and work in the creative industries. Directly fed into by young people, the programme was designed to break down the walls young people face, resulting in a range of events such as talks with industry experts, training and masterclasses, made up of panellists that reflected the diverse make-up of the borough.
From film to fashion and photography to producing, our industry talks covered many art forms and young people trained, hosted events and gained employment with partners in the borough and beyond. A highlight of the year was the Creative Careers Fair at Goldsmiths, University of London in May.
with career and development opportunities.
Our series of Industry Talks, on topics ranging from podcasting to publishing, photography and gaming, were livestreamed and made available to watch online for free, for those who couldn't attend the events in person.
The videos are still free to watch on our YouTube channel, for anyone who wants to pick up tips, advice or listen to the experiences of our inspirational speakers.
