JUMP TO Events

A series of commissions amplifying less heard voices in our community.

Projects included Sonic Ph, a bilingual audio piece designed to be listened to whilst enjoying a bowl of Phở; We Will Be Happy Here, a multi-sensory experience made with and for learning disabled people; The House of Do Your Own Thing, a free exhibition created by Heart n Soul; and Moving Day, a promenade show performed by elder theatre company Glorious Age, addressing issues of displacement and community.

We also went on tour with Chris Green‘s The Home Roadshow – a piece designed for care home residents and staff, which visited care homes across the borough in October, bringing culture to those who would not otherwise be able to get out and enjoy it.

In this video, performers and audience members talk more about the show and their experience.

"It was lovely to see “normal “ every day people that you can relate to, perform something that you can relate to."

The Home Roadshow

Read a blog post by artist Chris Green about the process of creating The Home Roadshow and going on tour.

"Leaving a home in Blackheath the other day, we reflected how few people walking down the local high street ever get to go into a care home. They are on the front line of living, with all life’s hardships, and all life’s joys. It’s such a shame that only a tiny percentage of us ever go and visit." - Chris Green
