About

Welcome to our Summer School
A creative exploration of colour, texture, and glass
In this five-day course, you’ll explore how glass can express the contrast between fire and ice. Through hands-on activities, you’ll experiment with colour, texture, and form in a relaxed and supportive studio environment.
You’ll learn a range of techniques including engraving, copper foiling, kiln forming, and simple sculptural work. The engraving sessions will focus on creating lettering and words, allowing you to personalise your pieces with names, quotes, or messages.
This course is suitable for beginners and those with some experience, offering space to explore ideas, try new techniques, and develop your creativity.
Please note:
Your work will be kiln fired, so collection will be arranged for a later time. Lamp work is not included. This is a one week course, price of course £222 now at a reduced price of £147.
