The culmination of two terms of the Make a Scene young writers programme, supported by Arts Council England, Sydenham-based theatre company Spontaneous Productions will present two evenings of new writing by emerging playwrights at the Sydenham Centre.
Guided by professional mentors, 12 writers or more will have crafted short playlets, scenes and monologues, which will be performed by a professional cast.
We expect these original pieces - both comic and dramatic - to explore a wide range of powerful themes and issues, and may well include adult content. Our previous new writing 'scratch nights' are always hugely popular, as writers often bring their friends and families along to support, so advance booking is recommended.
