Genre-hopping dynamo DJ Melvina Moves is a London based DJ whose sets are rooted in retro grooves with global flavours.
From Motown & Stax, to 70s-90s Soul Funk & Jazz Funk, Reggae Rocksteady & Ska, all Caribbean genres, and Pop Classics, Melvina brings the flavour to the event and can cater for arts, launch, corporate, private, clubbing and community events.
Melvina has featured at Boomtown and Nozstock Festivals, and has sat on the Nozstock Festival Diversity Advisory Panel. She currently holds residencies at Shoreditch House and Hootananny Brixton.
Melvina has shared the stage with icons such as David Rodigan, Don Letts, Dawn Penn, Janet Kay, Carroll Thompson, Tippa Irie, Lloyd Coxsone, and UK Soul Legend Omar, and has spun tunes as far afield as Guyana in South America, and St Lucia in the Caribbean. Melvina graces the decks with the enjoyment of the audience in mind, creating memorable musical experiences.
